Prepare altitude room
Attach the rubber door lip and glue the temporary window seal for the hose feed-through. Optional: wall drill hole for permanent installation.

Place altitude sensor
Position the altitude sensor as far as possible opposite to the hose exit in the room in order to provide accurate status information to the altitude generator.

Place altitude generator
Set-up the altitude generator in the garden or on the roof terrace, ideally >20m away from the altitude room and at a sufficient distance from neighboring buildings.

Establish cloud connection
Use your smartphone to set up the connection to the cloud in order to synchronize altitude sensor, altitude generator and smartphone app.

Connect hose to altitude room
Connect the altitude generator to the altitude room with the supplied special hose. A silencer at the exit of the hose ensures quiet operation.

FAQs NORMOX Altitude Rooms
What are the requirements for the size of the room?
The room should be a maximum of 20m² in size. A tiltable window and basic room insulation is required (rule of thumb: if the room is easy to heat in winter, it´s airtight enough).
What room adaptations are necessary?
The door should be sealed with a rubber lip. In addition, a window feed-through for the hose must be installed - either temporarily with an adhesive solution on the window frame or permanently through a hole in the outer wall.
Can I set up an altitude room in a rental apartment?
Absolutely. We have done this many times before. Our system relies exclusively on adhesive solutions that can be removed without leaving any residue after use. No drilling or construction work is required. Installation is typically completed within two hours.
What are the requirements for the generator placement location?
The location should have a Wi-Fi connection. The room should ideally be 20m away from the generator and there must be sufficient distance from neighboring buildings. A 230V power supply is required outdoors. Indoor installation, for example in a garage, is only possible after individual consultation.
How big and heavy is the ARC1?
The ARC1 weighs 95 kg and measures 147 cm (H) x 81 cm (L) x 60 cm (W). At least two people are recommended for set-up.
How is delivery carried out?
Pick up of ARC1 in Stuttgart is free of charge. Alternatively, NORMOX offers a delivery and set-up service:

How long is the delivery time and what are the payment terms?
The delivery time is 6 weeks. A deposit of 50% is due when ordering, the balance is paid on delivery.
How do teams and sport associations benefit?
Teams can bundle several ARC1 devices flexibly into a pool and pass them on to their athletes as required. This makes altitude training an integral part of performance development - for a steady increase in the team's overall performance level.
Which altitude training methods are possible with the ARC1?
The ARC1 is primarily designed for the sleep-high-train-low principle. Shorter training sessions at altitude are possible - please consult us if you wish to do longer sessions.
How does the ARC1 enable year-round outdoor use?
The ARC1 is equipped with an integrated device heater. This means that, unlike many electrical devices, the ARC1 remains operational even at sub-zero temperatures - for altitude training all year round.
