What Is an Altitude Room?
An altitude room is a living space in which the oxygen concentration is safely reduced to simulate high-altitude conditions while remaining at normal atmospheric pressure.
Instead of travelling to the mountains or sleeping inside a restrictive altitude tent, athletes can simply spend time inside their own bedroom while the entire room is maintained at the desired simulated altitude.
Altitude rooms are primarily used to increase hypoxic exposure during sleep or recovery, supporting established “sleep high, train low” strategies.
Because the whole room becomes hypoxic, users can sleep naturally, move freely and maintain significantly longer exposure times than is typically achievable inside an altitude tent.

Why Choose an Altitude Room Instead of an Altitude Tent?
Altitude tents have made altitude training accessible for many athletes. However, sleeping inside a tent also comes with practical limitations. Restricted space, higher temperatures, increased humidity and reduced comfort often make it difficult to achieve consistent nightly exposure.
An altitude room removes these limitations by transforming the entire bedroom into the hypoxic environment. Athletes sleep in their own bed, share the room with their normal furniture and maintain their usual evening routine while receiving the same altitude stimulus.
Compared to traditional altitude tents, altitude rooms offer natural sleeping comfort, unlimited freedom of movement, easier long-term adherence, quiet operation inside the bedroom and a more comfortable environment for nightly altitude exposure.
The First Affordable Altitude Room System

For many years, altitude rooms were reserved for professional sports institutes and luxury home installations. Conventional systems often required permanent modifications to buildings and typically cost tens of thousands of euros.
NORMOX changes this. Our ARC Core system starts at €3,995, making professional altitude rooms available at a price previously associated only with altitude tents.
For the first time, athletes can own a true altitude room without major construction work or institutional budgets.
No Permanent Installation Required
Unlike conventional altitude rooms, NORMOX systems do not require structural modifications to your home. Installation takes approximately two hours and works in apartments, rental homes, houses, holiday homes and team accommodation
When moving home, the entire system simply moves with you. There is no permanent installation, no drilling into walls and no expensive rebuilding work.
